This AirDroid Parental Control AI Assistant Privacy Notice (this “Notice” ) explains how SAND STUDIO PTE. LTD. ( “Sand Studio”, “we” or “us” ) processes personal data and related information when you use the AI Assistant in AirDroid Parental Control.
This Notice supplements the AirDroid Parental Control Privacy Policy and applies specifically to the AI Assistant. For personal data processing relating to other features or functionality of AirDroid Parental Control, please refer to the AirDroid Parental Control Privacy Policy and any other applicable privacy notices or disclosures.

The AI Assistant is an AI-assisted feature within AirDroid Parental Control. It helps you interact with certain supported functionality using natural language.
The AI Assistant forms part of AirDroid Parental Control. It operates within the existing authorization, permission, and service rules of AirDroid Parental Control and does not introduce new standalone data collection from a child’s device.
In this Notice, references to personal data and related information may include information relating to you as a user of AirDroid Parental Control, as well as information relating to a child’s device or other child-related information made available through AirDroid Parental Control under your account and permissions when you use the AI Assistant.
When you use the AI Assistant, the categories of information we process may vary depending on your request, the AI Assistant functionality available to you at the time, and the information available through AirDroid Parental Control that is relevant to your request.
We process personal data and related information in connection with the AI Assistant only to the extent relevant and reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, and only within the account permissions, service configuration, supported functionality, and access controls applicable to your use of AirDroid Parental Control.
We may process information you submit through, or that is associated with, your use of the AI Assistant, such as:
Where relevant to your request and supported in the current version, we may process information available through your AirDroid Parental Control account and related service environment. This may include information relating to your account, subscription, and service eligibility, as well as child-device-related and other child-related information made available through AirDroid Parental Control under your account and permissions, such as:
In the current version, the AI Assistant may summarize event, usage, alert, status, and other structured information available through AirDroid Parental Control when relevant to your request and supported by the applicable functionality. For example, where image-safety-related results are available and supported, the AI Assistant may query existing detection results or related record information, such as risk type, rather than the underlying original image itself.

In the current version, we do not use personal data processed through the AI Assistant to train our own general-purpose large language models.
We do not use children’s personal data processed through the AI Assistant for targeted advertising, remarketing, or commercial profiling.
The AI Assistant is supported by our systems and related technical service chain.
To support the AI Assistant, we may also use third-party AI model providers and other third-party service providers that help us provide, operate, maintain, and secure the AI Assistant and related services. These third-party providers may include providers of AI model inference, cloud hosting or storage, security, or other technical services relevant to the AI Assistant.
Depending on the request, the functionality involved, the applicable service configuration, and the region in which the service is provided, personal data and related information relevant to your request may be processed through different providers or categories of providers to support AI-generated or AI-assisted responses. Not every provider listed in our provider list or related documentation will necessarily be used for every AI Assistant interaction or feature.
Where third-party providers process relevant personal data and related information in connection with the AI Assistant on our behalf or as part of the AI Assistant service chain, their processing may also be subject to their own applicable terms, privacy policies, or data processing practices. This does not replace our own transparency obligations to you under this Notice and applicable law.

Personal data and related information processed in connection with the AI Assistant may be transferred to, accessed from, stored in, or otherwise processed in countries or regions outside your own.
This may occur because the AI Assistant relies on our systems and related technical service chain, as well as relevant third-party AI model providers and other third-party service providers that support the AI Assistant and related services.
Where required by applicable law, we will implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers in accordance with applicable data protection requirements. Depending on the jurisdictions involved, these safeguards may include contractual, technical, and organizational measures, such as data processing agreements, standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards, access controls, encryption, and other measures to help protect personal data and related information.
We retain personal data and related information processed in connection with the AI Assistant for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, and as otherwise required or permitted by applicable law.
How long we retain particular information may vary depending on the type of information involved, the relevant functionality or service configuration, technical and security needs, dispute-handling requirements, and applicable legal, regulatory, or compliance obligations.
When personal data and related information processed in connection with the AI Assistant is no longer reasonably necessary for these purposes, we will delete or anonymize it in accordance with applicable law and our retention practices.
If deletion cannot be completed immediately due to technical, operational, legal, or compliance reasons, we may retain the relevant information in a restricted or protected form until deletion or other appropriate handling becomes feasible.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect personal data and related information processed in connection with the AI Assistant against unauthorized or unlawful access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.
These measures may include safeguards relating to transmission security, access controls, and other security measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the relevant processing activities.

However, no application, system, software, or method of transmission or storage is completely secure or error-free. While we strive to protect personal data and related information using measures appropriate to the circumstances, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your country, region, and applicable law, you may have certain rights in relation to personal data and related information processed in connection with the AI Assistant, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge complaints with an applicable supervisory authority or regulator.
These rights are subject to applicable law and may be limited in certain circumstances. In particular, when we receive a request relating to child-related information, a child’s device, or a family account, we may take steps to verify the requester’s identity, authority, account permissions, and relationship to the relevant child, device, or account. We may also decline, limit, or defer a request where permitted or required by applicable law, including where responding to the request would adversely affect the rights, privacy, safety, or security of another person, conflict with applicable legal or authorization requirements, or where we are required or permitted by law to retain relevant information.

Unless otherwise stated, the updated Notice will become effective when posted or otherwise made available by us. Your continued access to or use of the AI Assistant after the updated Notice becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Notice, except to the extent that applicable law requires a different form of notice or consent.
