These AirDroid Parental Control AI Assistant Supplemental Terms (the “Terms” ) apply to your access to and use of the AI Assistant in AirDroid Parental Control.
The AI Assistant is provided by SAND STUDIO PTE. LTD. ( “Sand Studio”, “we” or “us” ). In these Terms, “you” means the person who enables, accesses or uses the AI Assistant, including any parent, legal guardian, account administrator, or any member authorized by the account administrator to access or use the AI Assistant through AirDroid Parental Control.
By accessing or using the AI Assistant, including where you are asked to click, confirm or otherwise indicate acceptance, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the AI Assistant.
2.1 Supplement to Main Terms
These Terms govern your use of the AI Assistant and supplement the AirDroid Parental Control Terms of Service (the “Main Terms ”) as additional terms applicable to a specific feature of the Services.
Except as expressly supplemented or modified by these Terms with respect to the AI Assistant, the Main Terms continue to apply to your use of AirDroid Parental Control, AirDroid Kids, and the related services.
In the event of a direct conflict between these Terms and the Main Terms regarding the AI Assistant, these Terms will prevail only to the extent of that conflict. For all other matters, the Main Terms remain binding on you and us.
These Terms apply solely to the AI Assistant. Any other AI-enabled or AI-assisted features, if any, may be subject to separate terms, notices or disclosures.
Capitalized terms used but not defined in these Terms have the meanings given to them in the Main Terms.
2.2 Privacy Documents
Privacy and personal data matters relating to the AI Assistant are described in the AirDroid Parental Control AI Assistant Privacy Notice (the “ AI Assistant Privacy Notice ”) and the AirDroid Parental Control Privacy Policy . You should review the AI Assistant Privacy Notice carefully before enabling or using the AI Assistant.
To the extent there is any direct conflict between the AI Assistant Privacy Notice and the AirDroid Parental Control Privacy Policy with respect to personal data processing specifically relating to the AI Assistant, the AI Assistant Privacy Notice shall prevail solely to the extent of such conflict, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
The AI Assistant is an AI-assisted feature within AirDroid Parental Control that enables you to interact with certain supported functionality using natural language.
Where supported, the AI Assistant may help you obtain factual information, summaries, explanations or troubleshooting guidance based on information available through AirDroid Parental Control, or assist with certain user-initiated requests or actions within the Services.
The AI Assistant’s permissions and capabilities are limited by those of AirDroid Parental Control and do not expand any existing permissions, data access, or controls.
The AI Assistant forms part of AirDroid Parental Control. It is not a separate monitoring or device-control service, does not collect personal data independently of AirDroid Parental Control, and is not an independent decision-maker. The original feature pages remain available and are not replaced.
When using the AI Assistant, you are interacting with an AI system rather than a human adviser, representative or professional service provider.
Access to and use of the AI Assistant remain subject to its availability, your account and service configuration, applicable permissions, technical conditions and service rules.
A request submitted through the AI Assistant may require clarification, confirmation, or additional steps through the applicable AirDroid Parental Control interface, and may fail, be delayed, or not take effect as expected. Where the Services require confirmation before a request can take effect, you remain solely responsible for reviewing the relevant details and intended effect before providing such confirmation. You should not assume that any requested action has taken effect unless the applicable AirDroid Parental Control interface expressly indicates that it has been completed.
The AI Assistant may be used only for lawful parental control, child safety and family device management purposes.
If you enable, access or use the AI Assistant in relation to a child, device, account or family setting, you are responsible for ensuring that such access or use is consistent with your relationship to the child and any applicable authority, authorization, agreement or consent arrangement. If any such relationship, authority, authorization, agreement or consent changes, you must promptly stop, remove or adjust the relevant access or use accordingly. If you enable or authorize any other person, including any family member or other person authorized through AirDroid Parental Control, to access or use the AI Assistant, you are responsible for appropriately managing that access and use, taking into account any relevant family, authorization and consent arrangements.
You must use the AI Assistant in a lawful, proportionate and appropriate manner, taking into account the child’s age, maturity, circumstances and applicable law. You must not use, or permit others to use, the AI Assistant for unauthorized monitoring, unlawful surveillance, harassment, coercive control or any other improper purpose, or in a manner that is punitive, abusive, coercive, humiliating, excessive or otherwise inconsistent with lawful parental control and family device management purposes.
You must not use the AI Assistant for any unlawful, unauthorized, deceptive, abusive, harassing, coercive, exploitative, discriminatory, defamatory, hateful or otherwise improper purpose.
Without limiting the foregoing, you must not use, or rely on, the AI Assistant to:
(a) infringe or interfere with any person’s privacy, personal data, dignity, reputation, safety or other lawful rights or interests;
(b) facilitate, support, promote or engage in fraud, deception, humiliation, harassment, hate, discrimination, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation or other harmful or abusive conduct;
(c) make, support or obtain sensitive inferences, profiles, scores or predictions about a child or any other person, including but not limited to inferences about psychological state, personality, health, addiction, intent, motivation or similar characteristics; or
(d) substitute for medical, mental health, educational, legal, emergency, law enforcement, school safety, or other professional advice, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or support.
You must not use or rely on the AI Assistant to make, support or implement decisions, actions or measures that may materially affect a child or any other person without appropriate human review, judgment and responsibility.
You must not use the AI Assistant in any manner that circumvents, overrides, bypasses or is inconsistent with the permissions, access controls, confirmations, limitations or service rules otherwise applicable through AirDroid Parental Control.
We may implement reasonable technical, operational, or policy-based measures to detect, prevent, refuse, limit, filter, block, suspend, or otherwise restrict any input, output, request, action, access, interaction, or use that we reasonably believe may violate this Section 6, the Main Terms, applicable law, distribution platform requirements, child safety standards, or the intended purpose of the AI Assistant.
The AI Assistant, or certain features, functions or parts of it, may be made available on a limited, phased, trial, beta, preview, experimental, controlled-release or similar basis. Such functionality may not be available to all users, accounts, devices, regions or service environments.
Any such functionality may be incomplete, limited in scope, unstable, unavailable, subject to change, or discontinued at any time, subject to applicable law.
Your use of any beta, trial, preview, experimental, limited-release, phased-release, controlled-release or similar functionality is at your own risk. Such functionality may be incomplete, unstable, unavailable or changed over time. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our responsibility for such functionality remains subject to these Terms and the Main Terms, including the applicable disclaimers and limitations of liability.
Nothing in this Section excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
The AI Assistant is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Without limiting the foregoing, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the AI Assistant will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any particular time, or that any output, response, request handling, or supported action provided through the AI Assistant will be accurate, complete, reliable, suitable for your specific circumstances, or successful in achieving your intended result.
We also do not warrant that the AI Assistant, or any related functionality, will remain available, supported, unchanged, or fully functional where it depends on third-party services, external technologies, platform requirements, or other dependencies not fully controlled by us. If any such dependency changes, becomes unavailable, is restricted, or is no longer supported, the relevant AI Assistant functionality may be modified, limited, suspended, withdrawn, or discontinued, in whole or in part, subject to applicable law.
You acknowledge that AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions, inconsistencies, outdated information, or biases, and may not be appropriate for your particular circumstances. The AI Assistant is not a substitute for your judgment. You should not rely solely on the AI Assistant for any decision, action, or inaction affecting a child or any other person.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any loss, damage, liability, claim, cost, or expense arising out of or relating to your reliance on any output, response, summary, explanation, request handling, supported action or execution result generated, submitted, or assisted through the AI Assistant, or any failed, delayed, incomplete, ineffective, or unintended request, action, result, or outcome involving the AI Assistant.
The disclaimers, exclusions of damages, limitations of liability, indemnity provisions, third-party service provisions, suspension rights and termination rights set out in the Main Terms continue to apply to your access to and use of the AI Assistant, except to the extent expressly modified by these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
We may restrict, suspend, disable, or terminate your access to the AI Assistant, in whole or in part, if:
(a) you violate these Terms, the Main Terms, or applicable law;
(b) we reasonably suspect unauthorized monitoring, unlawful surveillance, lack of lawful authority, misuse of the AI Assistant, abuse of the Services, or risk to a child or any other person;
(c) your account, subscription, device binding, permissions, access status, service environment, or other applicable conditions no longer support access to or use of the AI Assistant;
(d) continued access to or use of the AI Assistant may create legal, compliance, safety, security, operational, or technical risk;
(e) any model, API, service provider, technical component or dependency required for the AI Assistant becomes unavailable, restricted, discontinued, replaced, or no longer suitable for continued use; or
(f) we are required or reasonably requested to do so by applicable law, regulatory authority, court order, legal process, platform requirement, or other applicable rule.
Restriction, suspension, disablement, or termination of access to the AI Assistant does not necessarily affect access to other parts of AirDroid Parental Control, unless otherwise required under the Main Terms or the relevant circumstances.
Where we reasonably determine that immediate action is necessary to address legal, regulatory, child safety, security, privacy, abuse, platform, operational, or technical risk, we may restrict, suspend, disable, or terminate access to the AI Assistant without prior notice, subject to applicable law. Where required by applicable law, we will provide notice or an explanation within a reasonable period after taking such action.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Services, by updating the applicable legal page, or by other reasonable means. Unless otherwise stated, the updated Terms will become effective when posted or otherwise made available by us.
Your continued access to or use of the AI Assistant after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms, except to the extent that applicable law requires your affirmative acceptance.
Except as expressly modified or supplemented by these Terms, the provisions of the Main Terms relating to account use, license, ownership, intellectual property, restricted use, indemnity, third-party services, notices, governing law, dispute resolution, severability, waiver, assignment, interpretation, and other general matters continue to apply to your access to and use of the AI Assistant, to the extent applicable.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or protections you may have under applicable privacy, personal data protection, child protection, consumer protection, or other mandatory laws.
